The news is saying she was a security guard. And she was. A volunteer security guard for a church where she worshipped. She thought the church should increase security after previous church shootings. (The news has gone around the world.)
But mostly she was a woman who used her American rights to carry a gun to church. And that saved others in the church from being killed by a murderer.
